SUMMARY:History Day in Greybull!
DESCRIPTION:Wyoming History–Right Out Your Backdoor!\nDuring the morning\, Kylie will give a fun introduction to Wyoming history by highlighting some of Greybull’s historic figures and events. This program is designed to get Greybull’s 4th-grade students excited about their history classes this school year.\n\nInvestigating the Past\nDuring the afternoon\, Kylie will be discussing what a historian actually does and how she investigates stories from our past. While sharing research tools students can use for their History Day projects\, Kylie hopes to encourage curiosity and empower our future historians.\n\nMayor Lizabeth Wiley: It Can Be Done\nIn the evening\, Kylie will be sharing stories of Greybull’s mayor from 1922-1930\, Lizabeth Wiley. During her tenure\, Wiley stood strong against the Klu Klux Klan\, took the matter of enforcing prohibition into her own hands\, and weathered a natural disaster.
